My english learning journey

Hello!

My name is Sandra Carine, I'm brazilian and my wonderful teacher Priscila challenged me to start a blog, and write to improve my skills en english.

Today I want to talk about one extraordinary african philosophy that made me think and admire more this culture. We'll talk about Itutu. This mindset is originally from Aruba people and they are from three specific countries, Nigeria, Togo and Benin.

We can describe Itutu as a name for who people that has patience, calmness,  assured and unflappable. They know how to control themselves. When something happens unexpectedly, what they do is: Just bread and let the things flow.

This life is more about tough things than easy things, if we don't learn how to deal with this moments, we probably will live 24/7 on bad vibes, bad mood or whatever we can call it.

Their mentality is amazing because teach about emotional intelligence and self control, we cannot just put our rage out on people all the time one something frustrating happens, because it's out of our control. To be honest sometimes is so hard be able to control our emotions, but it's the best way, because be anger or not will not change anything, on the contrary, it only get disturbing.

If the skies open and the rain damage all their plans, aruba people will just take a chair in again and accept it, because there's nothing to do.

This mindset isn't something divine, it's a quality taught as a child  by your ancestors and can be cultivated. This mindset doesn't only render a person thinking wisely, but additionally makes them attractive and cool, they live in chill mode and it's very interesting and brings good energy.

Imagine if everyone could be a little bit like this? I'm sure the world would be much better! We cannot change the world, but we can start to change ourself, the exchange happens first inside us.
